Combination of this Poly-Clic shank and a cutter allows hole-expanding operations.
- Existing holes can be expanded with ease.
- You have only to prepare the expanding shank to perform hole-expanding operations, because the cutter used to drill existing holes is used as the guide.
- To expand pipe-laying holes when replacing air conditioners.
- To expand pipe-laying holes when replacing pipes in a plant.
- To expand other holes.

If you have an expanding shank S and additionally purchase an expanding plate L, you can replace the plate S with the plate L and use the tool as an expanding shank L. (Likewise, your expanding shank L can be used as an expanding
shank S.) |

The tables below serve as a guide for using an expanding cutter of the same type as the cutter used to drill existing holes. |

- In the hole-expanding operation, remove the guide cutter immediately after hole starting.
- Some holes drilled with other manufacturers' cutters cannot be expanded.
- When expanding the holes drilled with other manufacturers' cutters, "vibrations" and "chatters" may be produced due to a difference in diameter between the hole and guide cutter.
- This product cannot be used for electric drills having a safety clutch.
